Right to life and safety is the fundamental right of every citizen. A
mother holds the hand of her child and teaches her how to walk.A
teacher holds the hand of the child and teaches him/her how to write.
but no one holds their hand to teach how to step on the road?
how to be safe on the road?
it
is as important as moral values for a child.Road safety should be added
as a part of curriculum in schools right from class I.Because it is
more easy to teach at the root age. By the time the child will grow it will become his habit.He will be more safe on road.
We
know India is number 1 in road accident fatalities. More than 1.5 lakh
Indians die in road accidents annually.But what is the reason behind
that?It’s we all, who rarely obey traffic rules. It is the common endency
that rules are meant to be broken. But dear friends, here you are
wrong.These rules can save some one very special to you.The youth of 21st
century believes in high speed which is the major cause of road
accidents.We need to control the speed to control road accidental
deaths.Parents should not allow their underage children to drive bike.
Parents
should not allow their small kids to play those video games that
inspire them with a passion of speed.Due to high speed only we are
losing 64% of the most productive age (15-44). This data is more
thrilling than the speed. Being educated we need to be more concerned
about this serious issue.Being a teacher I have started Road Safety
Cafeteria Project. You all are welcome to join it so that we can make
India an accident free country. Let us help to prevent road accidents by
sharing our experiences, problem and solutions.Let us make road safety a
way of life.Road safety is a public health issue so let us take care of
each others health.
